The theme is “Building on Traditions” and the float theme for the parade is “Once Upon a Tradition.” A community pep rally will be held at 1 p.m. in the main gym. The parade will be Friday, Sept. 18th, at 2 p.m. (note time change). Check out the Events Calendar for more homecoming activities.

The Historical Society invites you to a tour of the SD Art Museum and the SD Ag Museum in Brookings on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. They will be depart at 9 a.m., lunch will be provided at noon and they will stop at the Dairy Bar before returning home. All members and those interested in coming a member are invited. This is a free event with your paid $10 annual membership. Register by emailing lois.wiarda@gmail.com by Friday, Sept. 25th.

The City of Castlewood has been designated a Cardiac Ready Community. This means the city has taken steps toward strengthen community response to sudden cardiac arrest by increasing awareness of CPR and AED use, improving access to lifesaving equipment and other life-saving measures. A link to the AED map is included on the bottom of the city website.
